ABBA MINISTRIES

Rancho de la Paz

Rancho de la Paz provides a place of shelter, rest and ministry on 4 1/2 acres in Southern California to pastors, missionaries, and other Christian workers who are involved in spreading the Kingdom of God on earth.

Rancho de la Paz is a Spanish phrase meaning Ranch of Peace.

That’s our goal, to provide a peaceful setting where you can rest, restore, or write. Located in rural Southern California, about 60 miles south east of Los Angeles and 65 miles north of  San Diego, the Ranch is only 5 miles from lovely Lake Elsinore.

We offer three basic services:

Transition Missionary Housing

A place to rest and regroup between the time your missionary family lands at the airport and when you find an apartment, or you vacate your home and depart for the field.

A shelter during itineration for missionaries and traveling ministers who need a place for quiet restfulness, or just a good night’s sleep.

A place where folks understand culture shock and jet lag.

Restoration Hill

A setting where ministers and missionaries in need of emotional, psychological, and spiritual healing can receive shelter, encouragement, and counseling.

Where their families can learn to overcome their hurts, learn biblical principles of relationship, and look forward to a fruitful and fulfilling future.

Director Pete Caruso, has often been called a pastor to pastors. One pastor wrote, “You’ve helped me by modeling and teaching the practical outworking of scripture in daily life.”

Writers’ Haven

A place for those in Christian ministry to get away from the normal distractions and interruptions to write.

Each guest room is decorated with items from a different region of the world: America, Northern Europe/Scandinavia, and Africa. Guests are welcome to stay up to two weeks per visit. We are closed during July, August, and December. Rancho de la Paz is a faith ministry…

Recommended donation:

If this is more than you can afford, any help to cover our utilities would be appreciated.

Nearby hills in SpringOur gazebo overlooks our half acre fruit orchard. Within that circle are chickens, ducks, and a goose. You can help us gather eggs or shoo them into the hen house at night. You might want to pick fruit if it’s in season. Most of the time our surrounding hills are brown, but some springs bring enough rain to cause the hills to burst with color. There are many trails that provide solitude and exercise.

In addition to our four guest rooms, we have four spaces for RVs with hookups for electricity, water, and the septic tank. A good place for R & R for a ministry couple or family.

Our two llamas are fun to watch, but they don’t like to be touched. Here’s Liliana looking in our kitchen window.
